Mayor Matt Larson has appointed Rick J. Rudometkin as interim City Administrator pending confirmation from the Snoqualmie City Council on January 27. Rudometkin serves in the position vacated by Bob Larson.
“I am excited to work with Rick, who comes to Snoqualmie with an impressive depth and breadth of municipal governance experience that will benefit our community,” said Mayor Matt Larson.
Rudometkin noted “I am pleased for the opportunity to serve this beautiful and vibrant community and look forward to working with the Mayor, City Council, and residents.”
Rudometkin has served in city and county government since 2003, most recently at the City of Sammamish. Previous positions included County Manager for the County of Eddy in Carlsbad, New Mexico; Public Works Director for the County of Eddy; Streets Division Manager for the City of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Chief Administrative Officer for the County of Modoc, California. In addition, he has worked for the City of Dana Point, California, and has nine years of experience working for an engineering company.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Woodbury University and numerous certifications in public service. He is also a credentialed manager with ICMA, an association of professional city and county managers and other employees who serve local governments.
Snoqualmie’s previous City Administrator, Bob Larson, accepted an offer as City Administrator for the City of Gig Harbor.
