Snoqualmie Point Park Site

The 8-acre Snoqualmie Point Park site was acquired in 2000 through the cooperative efforts of the Trust for Public Lands, the United States Forest Service, and the City of Snoqualmie, with assistance from the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, former Senator Slade Gorton, and the late Congresswoman Jennifer Dunn. The personal contribution of Mountains to Sound Greenway President Jim Ellis in orchestrating the entire acquisition process from City Hall to Washington, DC, was invaluable.

Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust subsequently designed and constructed the park improvements in 2006 with major funding from the Gates Foundation. In 2008, the City of Snoqualmie partnered with the U.S. Forest Service and Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to manage the Rattlesnake Ridge trailhead parking and restrooms constructed by DNR on the immediately adjacent federally owned lands.
