[ARCHIVED] Self-Defense Course Offered by Snoqualmie Police Department Open to Snoqualmie and North Bend Women

RAD Program

A course designed for women of any fitness level teaches techniques from risk reduction to self-defense in real-life scenarios. Using the nationally-recognized Rape Aggression Defense System (R.A.D.) program, course instruction teaches strategies against various types of assault using proven self-defense tactics, including hands-on methods, crime prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance.

Certified instructors Corporal Nigel Draveling and retired Officer Dave Bond will teach the course. Future course offerings include advanced self-defense and aerosol self-defense.

Participants must attend all four classes for a total of twelve hours. Classes will be held at Cascade Covenant Church, 13225 436th Ave. SE in North Bend. Cost of the course is $30, payable by cash or check the first day of class.

  • Wednesday, September 26, 6–9 p.m.
  • Thursday, September 27, 6-9 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 3, 6-9 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 4, 6-9:30 p.m.
