[ARCHIVED] Snoqualmie Ice Arena Opens with Grand Opening October 18

This is a photo of the Sno King Snoqualmie Ice Arena ribbon cutting ceremony on September 8, 2020.

Get ready to skate! A new 72,500 square-foot twin-sheet ice arena that includes two NHL-size ice sheets is opening in the Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park at 35323 SE Douglas St.

The Snoqualmie Ice Arena is the first new recreation facility dedicated to ice sports on the Eastside built in the last 20 years and will meet the increased demand for ice time. The new facility will also be a prime location for future tournaments, competitions, and camps, helping to serve as an anchor to support local, hotels, restaurants, shops, and activities nearby.

Sno-King Ice Sports provides the opportunity for youth and adults to participate in learn-to-skate, learn-to-play, and figure skating programs, as well as competitive hockey leagues. Classes are for new and returning skaters, beginner to advanced, ages 4 to adult. It will also provide general public skating and group and party event space.

On September 8, Mayor Matt Larson participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony alongside Senator Mark Mullet, and Sno-King executives. The ceremony was followed by a hard-hat tour of the arena. Watch a fly-through video of the arena at bit.ly/SnoqIceArenaFlyover.

The Snoqualmie Ice Arena community grand opening is scheduled for October 18. Register in advance to attend the drive-thru event. There will be stations to learn about the Sno-King facility and programs, live demonstrations, special guests, prizes, and giveaways. The event will feature the Figure Skating Disney Princess Team, Sno-King Jr. Thunderbirds, and Mr. & Mrs. Zamboni.
