Capital Improvement Program

Role and Purpose

The City's ongoing, long-term Capital Improvement Program helps manage and maintain critical city infrastructure and guides investments in community assets. Critical infrastructure includes the City's water, sewer and stormwater systems, streets, sidewalks, and more. The program also helps guide investments in parks and equipment.

The program is managed by the Parks & Public Works Department. The Capital Improvement Plan is the 6-year document adopted by the City Council that identifies and manages capital projects, including determining associated costs and timelines and identifying project funding sources.
