March 5, 2024 - Follow Up
Officers and the agency’s detective worked in conjunction with outside agencies to attempt to locate an endangered missing person. This diligent search included work with multiple dogs and King County Search & Rescue. This investigation is still ongoing.
March 5, 2024 - Traffic Stop
An officer pulled over a motorist for a defective headlight. The driver had an active domestic violence assault warrant for his arrest out of Thurston County. The officer arrested the subject and booked him into King County Jail.
March 7, 2024 - Injury Collision
At 1:54pm, officers were dispatched to a rollover collision at SE Jacobia St and Frontier Ave SE in Snoqualmie. The initial reports indicated someone was trapped inside the vehicle. An officer was on scene at 1:56pm. Citizens had already helped the 70-year-old driver out of the overturned vehicle. The drivers of both vehicles reported minor injuries. Based upon the initial investigation, the officer recommended a Reckless Driving charge to the local prosecutor’s office.
March 7, 2024-Suspicious
Officers responded to a call from the Nike store at the North Bend Outlet Mall regarding repeat shoplifters gathering items inside the store. Upon the pair exiting the store without paying for their “armloads” of merchandise, a Sergeant and an officer stepped in to apprehend the suspects. Both suspects attempted to flee back into Nike. One suspect was apprehended while another escaped out the emergency exit door. A thorough search was made for the second suspect, which included assistance from multiple agencies and KCSO’s helicopter unit. The second suspect was not located. However, he was identified. Both suspects had multiple warrants for their arrest. Additionally, both suspects had stolen from Bartell’s in Snoqualmie prior to their attempted Nike theft.
March 7, 2024 - Traffic Stop
An officer on patrol located a suspicious U-Haul van, with no visible rear license plate, on the backside of the North Bend Outlet Mall. Upon seeing the officer, the vehicle attempted to leave the area. The officer was able to initiate a traffic stop. The driver was confirmed to have an active warrant for his arrest. The officer ran the VIN of the vehicle and learned the vehicle was stolen. Additionally, an officer located a vehicle that appeared to have been prowled near where the U-Haul had first been seen. The suspect was transported to jail. However, he was unable to be booked due to becoming sick as a result of his reported heroin usage. The suspect was released at a local hospital. The suspect has a reported arrest history of thefts, possession of stolen motor vehicles, and burglary.
March 8, 2024 - Theft in-Progress
An officer responded to a theft at the North Bend Safeway. While stopped at a stoplight, the officer observed the possible suspects pass by. The officer was able to catch up to the vehicle and identify the license plate. The officer then went to the store and confirmed these were the same suspects. He then went to the address with information found from the license plate. There he was able to identify the suspects and provide them with a court date. One of the suspects claimed they had stolen the groceries for food. The officer then purchased groceries for the family and dropped them off on their porch.
March 8, 2024 - Suspicious
A Sergeant responded to a suspicious and possibly abandoned vehicle. After making attempts to find the owner, the Sergeant tagged the vehicle to be towed in 24 hours if not moved. The Sergeant also saw that the registered owner’s daughter had active warrants for her arrest. A female was soon observed attempting to remove the 24-hour tag. The Sergeant returned to the location and arrested the registered owner’s daughter on her active warrants. One of the warrants was a U.S. Marshal’s warrant with nationwide extradition. The female was handed over to the U.S. Marshal’s for booking.
March 12, 2024 - Theft in-Progress
Officers responded to a theft that had just occurred at the Nike Outlet Store in North Bend. Upon arrival, the responding officer observed the possible suspects in a vehicle. He attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop for the officer. The officer was able to then get ahead of the vehicle while a Sergeant continued to keep eyes on the vehicle. The initial officer was able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device on the vehicle. The driver was later located on SR 18 with a deflated tire. He indicated the other suspects had fled into the woods. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
March 12, 2024 - Hit-and-Run
Officers responded to a vehicle swerving into oncoming traffic in Snoqualmie. A second caller stated she was struck by the same vehicle, which did not pull over after the collision. An officer was able to identify the driver with the assistance of the first caller who also witnessed the collision. The officer was able to file a charge for Hit & Run on the driver/registered owner of the vehicle. Also of note, the officer had cited the driver a day previously for another Hit & Run collision.
March 16, 2024 - DUI
At approximately 2:15 am, an officer initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle he observed driving below the posted speed limit and crossing the center line multiple times. Another officer conducted a DUI investigation and determined there was sufficient evidence to believe the driver was impaired while operating a motor vehicle on the public roadway. The driver was arrested for DUI.
March 17, 2024 - Trespass in-Progress
A Snoqualmie/North Bend Sergeant responded to a Trespass-in-Progress call located at the Shell Gas Station in downtown North Bend. Upon arrival, the Sergeant located the suspect nearby. The male appeared intoxicated & agitated. The Sergeant used deescalation to calm the suspect. He was placed in custody and later released with a criminal citation for trespass.
March 16, 2024 - Disturbance
Units responded to a dispatched call at Saints and Scholars restaurant in Snoqualmie. Two individuals were reportedly in a physical altercation. Upon investigation, the responding units learned the pair were in a dating relationship. The primary aggressor was arrested for Assault IV (DV) and booked into Issaquah Jail.
