POLICE INVESTIGATE LATE NIGHT BURGLARIES OF OCCUPIED HOMES IN NORTH BEND

Snoqualmie Police Dept. News Releases Posted on September 23, 2024 | Last Updated on September 23, 2024

The Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department is investigating the burglaries of two occupied North Bend homes overnight Sunday, September 22, 2024. There was no contact between the suspect and the residents. The suspect is unknown and at large.

On Monday, September 23, 2024, at approximately 6:10 a.m., the department’s dispatch center received a call reporting a burglary that occurred at a home in the 1300 block of Bandara Avenue SE in the Tannerwood neighborhood of North Bend. The resident woke up to find that the first floor of his home had been ransacked while he was asleep upstairs.

A short time later, officers were dispatched to another residential burglary less than a mile away in the 13700 block of 463rd Avenue SE in the Wood River neighborhood. The victim reported his garage door opened at 1:00 a.m. according to a security app. The garage was rummaged through while the homeowners were asleep.

Additionally, five car prowl reports were taken in the same area with garage door openers stolen, along with a .40 caliber handgun.

Based on video surveillance footage from a neighbor’s security camera, police believe the suspects are associated with a newer Dodge Ram full-size pickup truck. Police could not identify the suspects or the vehicle license plate from the footage.  See photo below.

Burglaries of occupied homes are not common but are particularly concerning. These crimes not only highlight a significant breach in personal safety, but also heighten concerns within the community about the potential risks associated with home security.

The Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department is asking residents to make sure vehicles are always locked, and their homes are secured at night.

Anyone with security camera footage between the hours of 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. in these neighborhoods, or anyone with other information about these incidents, is asked to call the Snoqualmie Police Department at 425-888-3333.
