On March 5, 2019, Snoqualmie Police officers responded to an urgent care facility in North Bend, WA regarding an unresponsive 6-month-old child who had been brought in and medical staff were performing CPR. The baby was transported by medics to Seattle Children’s Hospital for further care. The baby was declared brain dead by physicians at Seattle Children’s and passed away a few days later. According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Report the baby died of “…inflicted injury of the head and neck. The manner of death is homicide”.
This case remained on the minds of Snoqualmie Police officers and following a review of the investigation documents, was re-opened in August 2022. Following additional work with the King County Prosecutor’s Office, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, and Seattle Children’s physicians, probable cause was established by CSPA Major Crimes Detectives to arrest Brendan T.
