On November 6, 2023, Snoqualmie Police officers responded to a vehicle prowl report at Snoqualmie Point Park. The victim was out enjoying our natural areas and while he was gone his truck was prowled. The victim's Glock 20 pistol, iPhone, and credit cards were stolen.
The victim's credit cards had been used at stores in the outlet mall and other North Bend retailers. One of the two suspects, a shorter male, was seen on video in a North Bend store using the victim's cards. The victim's ID was later used at the Snoqualmie Casino by a different male. The security staff notified the Snoqualmie Police as part of a longstanding public safety partnership. SPD requested the security team call officers if the male returned to the Casino.
On November 16, 2023, Snoqualmie Casino security staff contacted Snoqualmie Police night shift officers that the suspect had returned. Officers responded to the Casino and with assistance from the security team, the first suspect was detained. A Taurus .380 from Houston, TX was located on him. The second suspect fled on foot. He was later located by a rookie officer. The suspect was detained and the stolen Glock 10mm was located on his person. A stolen Kia associated with the suspects was impounded for a search warrant.
When the search warrant was approved, officers located a 20 gauge shotgun, a stolen laptop computer belonging to the Sultan School District, 1,000,000 Iranian Rials, and stolen mail. The car was later returned to its owner.
The first suspect was charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Alien in Possession of a Stolen Firearm. The second suspect was charged with Alien in Possession of a Stolen Firearm. One remains in custody and the other was medically declined for booking.
