Stage 2 Complete Burn Ban Now in Effect Countywide

Snoqualmie Complete Burn Ban 2023 Graphic

Effective immediately, in coordination with the King County Fire Chiefs Association, and the Association of King County Fire Marshals, a Stage 2 Complete Burn Ban has been implemented countywide, including Snoqualmie.

In response to continued hot/dry weather, high fire danger throughout King County, and the ongoing commitment of many local wildland firefighting resources outside the region, the King County Fire Chiefs, King County Fire Marshals, and jurisdictions throughout King County have joined together to issue a Stage 2 Complete Burn Ban covering all parts of King County.

The ban prohibits all outdoor fires, including recreational campfires, pellet fire pits, cooking fires, and ceremonial fires. The ban will remain in effect until further notice.

The ban does not include propane or natural gas fired grills, fireplaces, fire tables, and enclosed pellet cooking smokers. Other gas-fired appliances may continue to be used along with charcoal grills. Please be advised to use caution when disposing of charcoal remains.

The King County Fire Chiefs are working in cooperation with the King County Fire Marshals and King County to continually monitor wildfire fuel and weather conditions.
