City Seeks Volunteers for Commissions

Make an impact on your community! The City has vacancies on the following commissions:

Arts Commission

The Arts Commission helps develop and support public programs for the arts, advises the city on permanent public art installations, and helps develop popular events like the Plein Air Paint Out and other art festivals. The commission is made up of seven members who must reside within the City.  This commission has two open positions; commission members serve four-year terms. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm.

Economic Development Commission

The Economic Development Commission works to identify diverse economic opportunities; recruit and retain local businesses; foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships; and support a vibrant tourism economy in balance with a healthy community and abundant natural resources. There is one open position.  The commission is made up of seven members who must reside within the City or own/operate a business within the Snoqualmie business community. Commission members serve two-year terms.  Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at 8 am. 

Parks & Events Commission 

The Parks & Events Commission advises the City Council regarding many aspects of City parks, recreational facilities, and programs. They also advise regarding conduct of any form of recreation or cultural activities held for the enjoyment and well being of the public. There are two open positions. The commission is made up of five members who must reside within the City.  Commission members serve four-year terms and meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 7 pm. 

Salary Commission

The Salary Commission reviews and adjusts the salaries of the elected officials (Mayor and City Councilmembers) and performs the duties established by RCW 35.21.015. There is one open position. The commission is made up of three members who reside within the City and are registered voters in Snoqualmie. Commission members serve three-month terms during even-numbered years. Meetings are held as needed.
