Contractors working for the City of Snoqualmie will begin the 2024 Road Maintenance and Repair Project on Friday, July 26, 2024. The majority of the project is anticipated to be complete by August 15, 2024.
The project includes roadway crack sealing, slurry sealing, and grinding and paving overlay, with most work focused in the downtown Snoqualmie area. Crack sealing work will also happen on Fairway Ave SE on Snoqualmie Ridge, as well as some parking lots in City parks.
Grinding and paving overlay work on sections of SE Northern Street, SE Pickering Court, and Park Street is scheduled from July 26 – July 30. Following that work, crack sealing will occur on sections of SE Cedar Street, SE Newton Street, Doone Ave SE, Maple Ave SE, Euclid Ave SE, SE Gamma Street, SE Delta Street, and Meadowbrook Way SE (Millpond side of the Snoqualmie River). Slurry crack sealing will follow on Fir Street.
One-lane closures are required for all work, except for Fir Street, which will require a full closure between Railroad Ave SE and Maple Ave SE, tentatively scheduled on August 13, 2024. There will be a detour in place during the Fir Street closure.
Traffic impacts are anticipated to be minimal during the project, but residents are encouraged to plan ahead and allow for extra time if traveling in these impacted areas.
All work is weather dependent and the schedule could change.
The City appreciates residents’ patience and understanding during this important road maintenance and repair project.
