Snoqualmie Police Take Back Unwanted Prescription Drugs

October 23, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway

Snoqualmie, WA – The Snoqualmie Police Department will help residents prevent drug abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on October 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Station.

The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.

Bring pills or patches for disposal; liquids, needles, and sharps cannot be accepted. This is a safe way to dispose of prescription drugs. Flushing drugs down the toilet or in the trash can pose potential safety, health, and environmental hazards.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Survey on Drug Use and Health shows most misused and abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including stealing medication from the home medicine cabinet.

For more information about the disposal of prescription drugs or the event, visit www.DEATakeBack.com

Questions may be directed to the Snoqualmie Police Department at 425-888-3333.
