If you are renting back from the buyer, we still must close your account on the date escrow closes. You can work with the buyer if you owe them money for utilities. We cannot prorate for rent-back situations.

Per WA State Law, we are required to close water accounts on the date escrow closes. If you are renting back from the buyer, please work with them to pay the utilities if the account is in their name while you are living there.
If a relocation company is managing your account while your house sells, you must fill out the Property Management Authorization form also found on the Water Services page, if you want them to manage your account.
Your final bill will be mailed to the forwarding address you provided above. If you are not sure if escrow will pay your final bill, please contact them; we do not have this information. If there is a credit on your account due to over-payment, a refund check will be mailed to your forwarding address the month following escrow closing.
