January 29, 2024 - Theft Report
While on patrol in Snoqualmie, officers were dispatched to a theft report call. A person reported that his son’s electric scooter had been stolen at the YMCA. The officer contacted the son to receive his statement about the incident. The son stated that he and a friend were walking by Snoqualmie Community Park when a person in all black clothing started walking towards them. When the person got close, he “roared” at them. This scared the son and his friend, and they ran away. The person started to chase after them but eventually stopped. The son and his friend decided to look back after they realized that they weren't being chased anymore and saw the suspect riding down the hill on the scooter. Because it was dark, the son couldn’t give an accurate description of the suspect. The officer drove around the area, but was unable to locate the suspect.
January 29, 2024 - Traffic Stop
At 9:15 pm, an officer was stopped at the intersection of Sydney Ave SE and North Bend Way when he witnessed a black car pulling out onto the road, almost hitting a pedestrian. The officer followed the vehicle and after checking the license plate, determined that the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver letting them know their license had been suspended since 2020. The driver received a citation for driving with a suspended license in the 3rd degree.
January 30, 2024 - Injury Accident
At 4:05 pm, an officer was dispatched to a collision with an injury at the intersection of Snoqualmie Parkway and SE 99th ST. The reporting party stated that a motorcycle “T-boned” a truck at the intersection. When the officer arrived, he saw multiple subjects standing around the scene and a male in motorcycle gear lying down. The officer contacted the male lying down who stated that he was able to move and didn’t have any major complaints except some pain in the groin area. The male on the motorcycle was identified. The officer then moved on to contacting the individual driving the truck. The male driving the truck stated that he was trying to cross Snoqualmie Parkway to get to the other side of SE 99th ST when traffic obstructed his view of the biker, which resulted in a collision. The officer assessed the scene and requested a tow truck for both vehicles involved due to the amount of damage that was sustained. The officer issued the driver of the truck a citation for failure to yield the right of way and exchanged paperwork with both parties involved. The male driving the motorcycle was brought to Snoqualmie Valley Hospital to be assessed for his groin pain, but was released within a short time.
January 30, 2024 - Assault In-progress
An officer responded to a DUI call at the Shell Gas station off Mt Si Blvd in North Bend involving an intoxicated subject trying to leave the area. The call changed to an assault in-progress when the individual pushed an employee who tried to stop him from leaving. Officers were able to make contact with him as he exited his vehicle. The man was visibly intoxicated to the point where he was uneasy on his feet. One of the officers was able to take the keys from the subject so that he could not drive away while under the influence. The man then rested against the police car while his mood varied from being cooperative to showing signs and verbalizing that he wanted to fight. The officers were able to calm down the man and help him by giving him a ride home. The man was dropped off at his home safely by the officers.
January 31, 2024 - Trespass In-progress
An officer responded to a trespassing individual at the Shell station off of North Bend Way. The man had walked in and out of the store and urinated on the outside of the building while in sight of an employee. The man had been given trespass orders earlier and was violating these orders. The officer was able to locate and make contact with the individual who was also drinking alcohol publicly. The officer explained what crimes the man had committed and told him to leave the area and to go into a private area. Due to previous knowledge of the individual, officers determined the potential reason for the man’s actions to be grief. One of the responding officers was able to set up a connection with the individual to get a follow-up call from the department’s mental health professional.
January 31, 2024 - Traffic Offense
While on patrol in Snoqualmie at 1:55 am, an officer noticed a white pickup truck pulling away quickly from an ATM. The officer caught up to the truck and observed it while traveling on SR 202. The officer ran the vehicle's license plate which came back with an expired registration. As the truck turned onto Meadowbrook Way SE, the officer initiated a traffic stop and contacted the driver, who stated that he had borrowed the truck from a friend. When asked for his driver’s license, he stated that his license had been suspended. The officer verified that his license was suspended/revoked in the 3rd degree due to numerous unresolved tickets. A citation was then issued for driving with a license suspended (DWLS) in the 3rd degree.
January 31, 2024 - Reckless Driving
At 8:07 pm, an officer was parked on the shoulder of Snoqualmie Parkway monitoring traffic and heard a loud exhaust and observed a single headlight approaching. With the radar of the patrol vehicle, he captured the motorcycle approaching at 101 mph in a 40-mph zone with moderate traffic. The officer activated his emergency lights in attempt to signal the driver to pull over. As the biker approached the intersection of Snoqualmie Pkwy and Railroad Ave, he performed a U-turn through a red light and headed back southbound towards the I-90 interchange. The biker progressed at a high rate of speed and the officer was not able to read the license plate. The officer lost sight and could not keep up with the biker, but could hear the exhaust traveling all the way to the I-90 interchange.
February 1, 2024 - Vehicle Theft Report
An officer responded to a stolen vehicle report off of Rock Creek Ridge in North Bend. The officer received the report that the man had his truck stolen overnight from his home. Luckily, the owner of the vehicle was able to track his truck to an address in Snohomish. Snohomish County officers in that area were able to retrieve the truck and arrest the thief. The officer called into Snohomish County and was able to find out more information as to how the vehicle was stolen and what property may have been taken to share with the victim.
February 2, 2024 - Burglary In-progress
At 3:46 am, officers were dispatched to a burglary at the Shell station off of North Bend Way. Upon arriving, officers saw extensive damage to the front of the building. Two trucks had pulled into the gas station earlier and one had backed into the front glass of the building, gaining access to the ATM inside. The 4 suspects involved then loaded the ATM onto one of the trucks and fled the scene. One of the trucks involved was found shortly later on the side of the road, just beyond the on ramp off of North Bend Way to I-90. Through extensive police work, officers were able to identify all 4 suspects and one has been booked into the King County Jail.
