February 26, 2024 - Traffic Stop
While on patrol in Snoqualmie, an officer observed a vehicle that did not make a complete stop at a four-way intersection on SE Ridge Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop where the driver stated that he did not have his license on him. The driver provided his name to the officer. The ID check, though, came back with a different name, but matched the DOL photo. The name the driver verbally provided and the name in the database appeared to be linked to each other with a warrant out of Oregon. When the officer asked the driver if he had some form of photo ID or if he was associated with a different last name, he became very irritable. The driver was then fingerprinted to verify his identity. He was placed under arrest on his warrant and booked at King County Jail.
February 26, 2024 - Injury Accident
At 5:22 pm, an officer was dispatched to a two-car injury collision on Snoqualmie Parkway and SE 99th Street. When the officer arrived, he observed a blue sedan with heavy front-end damage with all airbags deployed blocking one lane of Snoqualmie Parkway. The other vehicle, a pickup truck, was on the eastside of the roadway on its side. It was determined that the pickup truck had lost control in the snow and slid into the sedan's lane of travel, hitting its front end. The collision caused the truck to flip onto its driver's side. The passengers of the sedan had possible head injuries and were transported to the hospital. The officer provided an information exchange for both drivers. The sedan was towed away, and the pickup truck was up-righted and driven away.
February 27, 2024 - Theft Report
An officer responded to a theft report made by an employee of a business who stated that another former employee had placed her company laptop into a FedEx drop box, but the laptop was never received and was now missing. The IT department of the company was able to ping the laptop in the Snoqualmie River near Tanner Landing Park. Officers went out and walked along the river searching for the laptop according to the coordinates. They were unable to locate the laptop and were unsure if it was in the river or on a patch of dry land in the middle of the river. The fast flowing water level was too high to search further.
February 27, 2024 - Assault In-progress
An officer responded to an assault in-progress call at the North Bend Shell gas station involving a subject who had been drinking and had shoulder checked an employee twice before walking off. Officers had previous encounters with the suspect and were aware of him often being drunk in public. Officers took a victim report from the employee and then wrote a criminal citation to the suspect. The officer could not locate the suspect at the time, but continue to search for him.
February 29, 2024 - Burglary Report
An officer responded to a burglary report at the Hartwood Café in North Bend. The owner reported the burglary occurred earlier that morning and believed this wasn’t the first time it had occurred. The officer reviewed the surveillance footage and assisted the owner with preparation in case it occurred again.
February 29, 2024 - Hit-and-Run
An officer responded to a hit-and-run call near the North Bend Outlet Mall in North Bend involving a driver who had reportedly been hit by a large truck while turning onto the roadway. The driver was able to get the license plate of the truck and reported it to the officers. Upon contacting the suspect, officers heard a different story - about how the other car drove into his truck. The suspect then shared dash cam footage, proving that he was proceeding on a green light and that the other vehicle was the one that had turned left on a red light and ran into the side of his truck. Information was taken from both parties involved, and a collision report was made.
March 3, 2024 - Suspicious Activity
At 9:53 am, an officer responded to a suspicious call at the Woodlands Apartments in Snoqualmie. The reporting party explained that after returning from a walk, they noticed the glass on the leasing office front door was smashed. The responding officer observed pry marks on the door frame as well. Officers checked for possible suspects, but none were still inside. Nothing seemed to be missing or disturbed. Officers responded to a similar call earlier in the morning across the street where that reporting party stated that a vehicle had pulled into the parking lot; a male exited the vehicle; then hearing a loud “bang,” the male returned to the vehicle and left the area. The reporting party of that call is in the process of providing video footage of that incident. It is possible the two incidents could be related. The estimated damage to the office was $1500.
March 3, 2024 - Agency Assist
At 3:46 pm, officers were dispatched to an agency assist call at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. Officers were told by dispatch that King County Deputies were fighting with a suspect in the emergency room. All available officers responded. When officers arrived, the male was in 4-point restraints and a spit hood. The male had been actively trying to fight officers, saying that he did not want to go back to jail and that he swallowed methamphetamines. Additional deputies arrived on scene, one with a wrap restraint system. It took all officers to secure the male into the restraint wrap system and carry him to a KSCO patrol car where he was secured.
