The City of Snoqualmie is creating an Opioid Funding Advisory Committee and is looking for community volunteers. Interested parties should reside within Snoqualmie city limits and have a background in substance abuse services, healthcare, or human services organizations assisting those affected by opioid use.
The Advisory Committee will ensure Snoqualmie opioid settlement funds are dispersed for approved uses in accordance with the Allocation Agreement. The Advisory Committee will design funding criteria, review funding applications, and make funding recommendations. Recommendations are then forwarded to Snoqualmie City Council for final approval.

In response to their role in the nationwide opioid crisis, Washington State and local governments filed lawsuits against several companies that were involved in opioid manufacturing, distribution, and marketing. As a result of the settlements, the city of Snoqualmie has received, or expects to receive, settlement funds that must be distributed according to the settlement agreement.
