National Volunteer Week Recognized April 17-23
Snoqualmie, WA – The City of Snoqualmie honors Volunteer Week in recognition of the many local volunteers who contribute countless hours toward programs and services benefiting the community. The City’s Volunteer Week theme for 2022 is “Volunteers Make a Difference.”
“We thank our volunteers for their time, commitment, and expertise,” said Mayor Katherine Ross. “Their work year-round greatly benefits Snoqualmie residents and businesses.”
One hundred and ninety volunteers served the City last year for a total of 5,793 total volunteer hours citywide. Their efforts included:
- Service on eight City Commissions.
- Three Finally Friday Art & Wine Walk events.
- Restoration of 4.6 acres and 3,694 trees planted by Green Snoqualmie volunteers, 45 of them youth members.
- Vaccine clinics and a Santa Parade food drive held by Volunteer Firefighters.
