[ARCHIVED] Celebrate Our Community's Forests on Green Snoqualmie Day - Rescheduled to Nov. 5

Green Snoqualmie Day image

Help steward our natural areas – plant a tree November 5, 9 a.m. - noon, 39912 SE Park Street. Please note, this event was rescheduled from October 15 due to the combination of poor air quality and lack of ground moisture related to our recent stretch of unseasonably warm, dry weather.

Celebrate fall by planting a tree with family and friends on Green Snoqualmie Day. Through the Green Snoqualmie Partnership, an initiative to restore and steward Snoqualmie’s forested parks and natural areas, thousands of square feet of weeds have been removed and numerous trees and shrubs planted to ensure our urban forests’ health. Help us build healthy habitat and community at the same time!

Join your Snoqualmie neighbors in celebrating the community’s forests by helping to plant several hundred trees and shrubs under Mount Si at Three Forks Natural Area, located at 39912 SE Park Street. This year, Green Snoqualmie, Forterra, and the City are partnering with Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust and the Snoqualmie Tribe to help reforest the banks of the Snoqualmie River.

This is the biggest Green Snoqualmie event of the year and a great time to plant a tree and leave a living legacy in the community. In addition to tree planting, volunteers can sample food from local businesses and enjoy raffle prizes. Gloves and tools are provided. This all-ages event is great for families, and those of all abilities are welcome.

Space is limited and advance registration is required. Visit Green Snoqualmie Day - Forterra for more information.

For those who cannot attend the rescheduled Nov. 5 event, please see a complete list of all upcoming Green Snoqualmie Partnership events at: https://snoqualmie.greenpartnerships.org/event/map.
