Save-the-Date: Public Wildlife Awareness Forum
February 28, 6:00-7:30 pm, Snoqualmie Library, 7824 Center Blvd SE
Join this in-person forum to learn about local wildlife from experts in wildlife biology, waste management, law enforcement, and urban forestry. Children are welcome to attend, and light snacks will be served. A Q&A session will follow speakers.
Forum includes:
- Garbage and compost management.
- Wildlife safety.
- Hiking best practices.
- Recommended reading lists for adults, teens, and kids.
- Coloring activities for kids.
The event, hosted by the Snoqualmie Ridge Residential Owners Association, the City of Snoqualmie, and the King County Library System Snoqualmie branch, takes place February 28 at the Snoqualmie Library. Wildlife Biologist Kurt Aluzas will talk about wildlife safety. Marcella Manibusan of Waste Management will share best practices for effective garbage management. ROA Director Amy Atchison, Snoqualmie Police Chief Perry Phipps, and Snoqualmie Stormwater and Urban Forestry Supervisor Phil Bennett will share tips on living with wildlife and answer your questions.
