Big Truck Day and Kids Summer Jam Come to Snoqualmie
School’s out for summer! Time to keep kids busy and active. The City of Snoqualmie has two new “Summer in Snoqualmie” events especially for children.
Big Trucks. Big Equipment. Big Fun. See. Touch. Sit. On Thursday, June 27, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Centennial Fields Park, Big Truck Day will showcase vehicles that are tough and tactical, fun and flashy, and represent our heroes and helpers. Hold the Horn will be a sensory-free time from 10 to 10:30 a.m. designed for kids who find sights and sounds a bit overwhelming.
This free event is geared for kids ages 1-10 and will give them an opportunity to dream and imagine while pretending to operate big rigs. They can explore a variety of vehicles, from public service, emergency, and utility to transportation and more, all in one place!
Kids Summer Jam – A great day to get out, play, and have fun in the sun! Plan to attend this new event, Thursday, July 11, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Snoqualmie Community Park. See Hoopsmiles, a hula hoop dance performer, and interact with hula hoop demos. Also included: a LEGO Master booth, Tangerine Tales Face Painters, Pineapple Life kids’ yoga, Snoqualmie Valley YMCA activity booth, Star Wars battles, and more! Pack a picnic lunch, sunscreen, and beach blanket, and spend the day at the park.
