Snoqualmie Police Officers Recognized for High Honors
Snoqualmie, WA – Snoqualmie Police Chief Perry Phipps formally recognized two officers at the City Council meeting on February 24 for high honors they have recently received.
Snoqualmie Police Officer Rick Cary received an award for 2019 Air National Guard Non-Commissioned Officer. This award shows his outstanding achievements and leadership in a security force of more than 10,000 citizen-airmen. Officer Cary will soon be deployed to Jordan for a tour through November and will then return to the Snoqualmie Police Department where he has served for nine years.
Snoqualmie Police Officer Jayce Gutzler was voted by readers of 425 Magazine as Police Officer of the Year. The awards are given for several categories including notable people, locations, and establishments. Officer Gutzler has been serving with the Snoqualmie Police Department for nearly two years and has been in law enforcement for eleven years, including on the North Sound Metro SWAT team and the Eastside Narcotics Task Force.
“I always talk about how blessed I am to have great people in this police department,” said Chief Phipps. “Officers Cary and Gutzler are prime examples of the quality and commitment of our department. I couldn’t be prouder.”
