Dear Snoqualmie Residents and Business Owners:
Thank you for coming together during this unprecedented time to help slow the threat of COVID-19. I want to share my gratitude for your calm, along with your willingness to support your community and neighbors. I also want to take this opportunity to share steps the city has taken in response, and to remind you of best practices and actions you can take.
The City of Snoqualmie Department of Emergency Management continues to monitor the local risk of the novel coronavirus and COVID-19. The city is actively involved in meetings with local and regional agencies including King County, Public Health – Seattle & King County, and the Washington State Department of Health, among others.
In accordance with public health recommendations and to ensure resident and staff safety in reducing the spread of COVID-19, Snoqualmie City Hall is temporarily closed to the public. Governmental services will continue - you can contact departments or staff for questions, assistance, and appointments. The Police Department and Fire Department lobbies remain open to the public.
Realizing parents now have student learners at home, the city follows state guidelines in encouraging local employers to offer telecommuting options. For online work and learning needs, Comcast announced that for the next 60 days, Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free. New customers for Internet Essentials, a broadband program available to qualified low-income households, will receive 60 days of complimentary service.
Local business owners and employees face unique challenges during this two-week closure of restaurants, entertainment, and recreation through March 31. Here are some ways to support your local businesses:
- Take advantage of take-out, deliver, and drive-through options.
- Use online shopping options for local businesses.
- Purchase gift cards.
Here are actions you can take at home and at work to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

- Get plenty of rest, drink fluids, eat healthy foods, and manage your stress to keep your immunity strong.
